Rethinking Disease Biology Through Human Diversity: hPSC Platforms Transforming Drug Discovery

This session explores how human pluripotent stem cell platforms can be used to incorporate genetic and population diversity directly into early drug discovery. By leveraging diverse hPSC resources, population scale modeling, and functional genomics, the session highlights how disease biology, therapeutic response, and safety risk can be studied in ways that better reflect real world human variation.
Strategies for iPSC-Based Regenerative Therapies - From Single Cells to Organoids

This session will highlight recent advances in the development of iPSC-derived regenerative therapies across three representative clinical indications: hearing loss, diabetes and salivary glands injury. By showcasing diverse therapeutic formats, including well-defined single-cell populations for precise cell replacement, multicellular clusters that capture greater tissue complexity, and organoids designed for functional tissue repair, speakers will discuss strategies for directing iPSCs into specific cell types as well as key translational challenges.
