Director Global Business Development Protein Homeostasis
Priyanka is a part of the Global Business development team at Evotec, in her role as Director BD, Protein Homeostasis, she is responsible for driving partnering activities around Evotec’s innovative internal R&D portfolio and capabilities in the field of targeted protein degradation (TPD) and proteomics.
Priyanka is based in Germany and works closely together with the protein homeostasis and proteomics scientific experts at Evotec. Priyanka studied molecular and cellular biology and has a PhD in Biochemistry from the Technical University of Munich, Germany. For her PhD she worked on protein homeostasis, with a focus on the plasticity of Hsp90 chaperone machinery. She then continued to study folding of disease-relevant membrane proteins and their correction using small molecule drugs as a Post-doc and Marie Curie fellow at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands. After her academic research career, Priyanka transitioned to business development in biotech companies with innovative technology platforms for Precision Medicine, allowing her a chance to leverage her scientific background to envision and initiate unique collaboration opportunities between biotech and pharma. During her academic and BD career, Priyanka has spoken at numerous national and international events and conferences. She will be visiting Boston in July for the Induced Proximity-based Drug Discovery Summit to share exciting developments at Evotec in this space.
