In this webinar, Karthik Rajasekar from Evotec department of Protein Sciences will showcase how the ÄKTA™ chromatography system from Cytiva enables automated multi-step purifications, reducing errors and saving time. The session will also highlight the use of autosamplers to automate high-throughput runs for protein quality assessment. Participants will gain practical insights to assess their current manual workflows and learn how automation with ÄKTA instruments can drive greater efficiency and reproducibility in protein purification.

Karthik Rajasekar

Karthik Rajasekar, PhD
Team Leader, Protein Biochemistry

Karthik Rajasekar is a protein biochemist with a passion for proteins. He earned his PhD in Biosciences from the University of Birmingham, before continuing his research as a postdoctoral researcher at   the University of Cambridge and later at the University of Oxford. His academic research focused on the structural and biophysical characterization of protein switches, advancing our understanding of these proteins. His published academic work can be found here. At Evotec, Karthik leads a team of dedicated protein biochemists, supporting partners in overcoming challenges in protein sciences. Karthik is particularly passionate about high-throughput protein production and analytics and has been at the forefront of innovation in automation and parallelization of protein production workflows at Evotec.
