Privacy statement

Dear visitors of our Internet portal,

thank you for visiting our website. To make you feel comfortable while visiting our website, we would like to inform you about the handling of your data. The following data protection regulations are intended to inform you about how we collect, use and pass on your personal data. Responsible for this website is the Evotec SE.

The protection of your privacy is very important to us. For this reason, we have designed our website in a way that it can be used anonymously. We use information that we receive and store during your visit of our website exclusively for internal purposes and to improve the design of the website. We store the IP address transmitted by your web browser for a period of seven days in order to detect, limit and eliminate faults or errors (e.g. attacks on our servers). After this period has expired, we delete or anonymize the IP address.  We use the IP address exclusively for the above-mentioned security purposes.  Further information on the processing of the IP address can be found in the following section "Usage data".

Usage Data

When you visit our website, so-called usage data is temporarily stored on our web server for statistical purposes as a protocol in order to improve the quality of our website. This data set consists of

   • the page from which the file was requested,

   • the name of the file,

   • the date and time of the query,

   • the amount of data transferred,

   • the access status (file transferred, file not found),

   • the description of the type of web browser used,

   • the IP address of the requesting computer, which is shortened in such a way that a personal reference can no longer be produced.

We use this information to enable the access to our website, to control and administrate our systems and to improve the design of our websites. The stored data is stored anonymously. The creation of personal user profiles is excluded. Data about individuals or their individual behaviour is not collected.

Data transmission to third parties

We do not transfer your personal data to third parties.

Our service providers

We're using service providers to operate our website and other internet services. These service providers are strictly bound to our instructions with a contract according to Article 28 GDPR.

Cookies are small files that are stored on a visitor's hard drive. They allow information to be stored for a certain period of time and to identify the visitor's computer. Only so-called session cookies are used to control your visit of our site, which are automatically deleted when you close your browser. There is no permanent storage of data on your computer. You can set up your browser so that it informs you about the placement of cookies. This makes the use of cookies transparent for you.

Google Analytics

We use the web analysis tool "Google Analytics" to design our websites according to your needs. Google Analytics creates user profiles on the basis of pseudonyms. For this purpose, permanent cookies are stored on your end device and read by us. With the help of these cookies, we are able to recognise returning visitors and count them as such.

Data processing is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR, provided you have given your consent via our banner.

You can revoke your consent at any time. Please follow this link and make the appropriate settings via our banner.

As part of Google Analytics, Google supports us as a processor in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. Data processing can also take place outside the EU or the EEA. With regard to Google, an appropriate level of data protection pursuant to Art. 45 para. 1 GDPR can be assumed by participating in the Privacy Shield Agreement and pursuant to Art. 46 para. 2 lit. c GDPR by using EU standard contract clauses in our data processing agreement according to Art. 28 GDPR.

Our website uses Matomo on the basis of Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a GDPR, if you have consented to the use. Matomo is a so-called web analysis service. Matomo uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. For this purpose, the usage information generated by the cookie (including your shortened IP address) is transmitted to our server and stored for usage analysis purposes to optimize our website. Your IP address will be immediately anonymized during this process, so that you remain anonymous. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website will not be passed on to third parties. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser, however, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website in this case.

If you do not agree with the storage and evaluation of this data from your visit, you can also revoke your consent by mouse click. In this case, a so-called opt-out cookie is stored in your browser, which means that Matomo does not collect any session data. If you delete your cookies, however, this means that the opt-out cookie is also deleted and may have to be activated again by you.

Your visit to this website is currently recorded by Matomo Webanalyse. Click here so that your visit is no longer recorded.

We occasionally use YouTube videos on our website. These videos are included in YouTube's "Advanced Privacy Mode", whereby according to YouTube no information about website visitors is stored as long as the video is not played. If you play the video, you agree that the data will be processed by YouTube as the responsible party and that this processing cannot be influenced any further by us. For more information, we refer to YouTube's privacy policy, which is available at
