We strive for continuous improvement in our ESG performance
Our sustainability performance is regularly assessed by ESG rating agencies. We are happy to receive valuable feedback from outside, which we can use to grow further. Here, we essentially focus on five key ratings and strive for continuous improvement for our company. In addition to the listed ratings, we aim to participate in the CDP Climate rating process from 2023. In the following, we create transparency about the current overall rating results.

EcoVadis
The EcoVadis methodology framework assesses companies' policies and actions as well as their published reporting related to the environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. Their team of international sustainability experts analyse and crosscheck companies’ data (supporting documents, 360° Watch Findings, etc.) in order to create reliable ratings, taking into account each company’s industry, size and geographic location. Sustainalytics
Sustainalytics’ ESG Risk Ratings measure a company’s exposure to industry-specific material ESG risks and how well a company is managing those risks. This multi-dimensional way of measuring ESG risk combines the concepts of management and exposure to arrive at an assessment of ESG risk, i.e. a total unmanaged ESG risk score or the ESG Risk Rating, that is comparable across all industries. Sustainalytics’ ESG Risk Ratings provide a quantitative measure of unmanaged ESG risk and distinguish between five levels of risk: negligible, low, medium, high and severe. Sustainability Reporting
Since 2017, Evotec is reporting on non-financial topics in line with the German Commercial Code. For the financial year 2020 we started to extend the scope of this report to voluntary sustainability disclosures. In 2021 and 2022, we reported in reference to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards in an effort to continue improving our Sustainability Report. In 2022, a selection of our material topics in the Sustainability Report were audited to increase transparency and trust among our external stakeholders. We aim to perform a new materiality analysis applying the double materiality approach and report based on the results for fiscal year 2023.
