Evotec hosts a library of approximately 250,000 compounds available for the screening of client's targets. This compound library is actively managed by Evotec and is stored separately, away from client collections.
Evotec's screening library is a collection of drug-like compounds which is composed of two 90,000 sets of diverse compounds (one set designed and synthesized by Evotec's chemists and the other purchased from third-party suppliers) as well as a focused gene family sets for GPCRs, kinases, ion channels, proteases and protein:protein interactions. Additionally, a rapidly growing set of fragments is available for high throughput fragment screening by biochemical assays.
All library compounds are subjected to a rolling quality control procedure by coupled LC/MS so as to ensure a mean compound purity across the library of 85%. Library storage conditions were systematically studied and optimized to ensure compound stability over time. Evotec's screening library has a proven track record in delivering potent and attractive compounds as starting points for medicinal chemistry optimization.
