Cell imaging using the proprietary Opera™ confocal cell imaging device is used to identify and characterize active compounds in novel, information-rich, cell-based assays.

The Opera™ offers the highest available resolution through confocal technology with four laser sources and a throughput of up to 200,000 images per day. A wealth of readouts are available to study the activity of specific targets, but also to monitor complex cellular phenomena such as the activity of entire signaling pathways or the sub-cellular morphology of primary cells.

Assays can be run at high throughput to identify novel scaffolds, but can also be run for compound profiling to study cellular efficacy, compound specificity, selectivity (pathway profiling / off-target effects) and to study the mechanism-of-action.

Multiplexing capability with the benefit of simultaneously measuring multiple readouts is also provided, as well as assay design, script development and primary and secondary screening.
