Evotec has a proven track record of success in ion channel screening services. This includes electrophysiological investigations performed for more than 80 clients worldwide, including major Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology companies.

Studies are performed on compounds provided by our clients against a wide range of voltage and ligand-gated ion channels. Evotec's electrophysiology platform consists of a number of manual rigs, a semi-automated planar patch device (Port-a-Patch© NPC©-1) and an automated patch-clamp robot (PatchXpress® 7000A) to offer high throughput screening (i.e. simultaneous testing of up to 16 compounds) and has the advantage of facilitating high quality compound characterization much earlier in the drug discovery process than was previously possible.
