High Throughput Screening

Evotec's high throughput screening of cellular and biochemical assays is conducted in 1,536-well plate format on three proprietary and fully integrated screening systems (EVOscreen™).

The open architecture of these high throughput screening platforms allows the incorporation of:

• Proprietary Insight FCS+plus readers
• Opera™ confocal cell imaging device for cellular assays
• Commercial multimode readers (e.g. EnVision™ readers)
• Various liquid handling devices

Evotec offers high throughput screening of its own 250,000 compound screening library and / or client libraries. 

A typical high throughput screening project encompasses:

• The adaptation of the assay to a high throughput screening format
• Pilot testing of a sub-set of compounds
• Primary screening in singlicates with on-plate performance controls
• Statistical hit-identification
• Hit-confirmation
• IC₅₀ profiling
• Secondary testing
• Structural verification of the hit-compounds and SAR analyses.
• All data is captured in a comprehensive written report submitted as part of the service offered

In addition Evotec offers screening services using FLIPR™ and ELISA technology.
