Monoamine Oxidase-B (MAO-B) inhibitor- Alzheimer’s disease
EVT 302 is a highly selective MAO-B inhibitor, which Evotec believes has potential as a disease modifying therapy in Alzheimer’s- slowing disease progression rather than acting as a symptomatic treatment.
Evotec has completed a trial with 8 week dosing of EVT 302, demonstrating an excellent safety and tolerability profile at doses that have been demonstrated to result in complete inhibition of the MAO-B enzyme.
Due to its high degree of selectivity for the MAO-B versus the MAO-A enzyme, EVT 302 has been shown in a clinical study to have no interaction with tyramine at doses at least two-fold higher than those producing complete MAO-B inhibition.
EVT 302 has a clinical and non-clinical development package to enable investigation in long term patient trials in Alzheimer’s Disease.
Evotec is seeking a partner for further development of EVT 302
