Prof Dr Andreas Pinkwart

Prof Dr Andreas Pinkwart has been a Member of the Supervisory Board of Evotec since June 2011. Since April 2011 Prof Dr Pinkwart is Dean and Chair holder of the Stiftungsfonds Deutsche Bank Chair of Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship, HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management, Germany. Before starting his new positions Pinkwart served as a senior visiting fellow at the American Institute for Contemporary German Studies (AICGS), Johns-Hopkins-University, Washington D.C., from January to March 2011.

From 2005 to 2010 he had been member of the German Council of Science and Humanities and holds an office as Minister of Innovation, Science, Research and Technology as well as Deputy Prime Minister of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. He had been a member of the German Bundesrat from 2005 to 2010 and a member of the German Bundestag from 2002 to 2005. Previously he taught at the University of Siegen as Professor of Business Administration. His main research focus is on innovation management, entrepreneurship and turnaround management.

Prof Dr Pinkwart completed his master’s level degree of economist at the University of Bonn, Germany and in 1991 he earned his doctorate for Dr rer pol at the same university. In 2003 his qualifications equaling those of a habilitation had been attested by University of Siegen.
